We took many photos during our 18 days in Norway.  As this was a winter and holiday trip, we did not try to visit the regular tourist and scenic sites (see the photos from our Summer 2000 trip for those).  Many of our photos taken on this trip are of family, friends, food, holiday decorations and local landscapes.    

   One visual image that stands out in our memory of Norway during the Christmas season is the holiday light fixture pictured above.  This "7 arma Lysestake" (also called "candle arch" by manufacturer Markslöjd or "7 cup Candelabra" by Ingebretsen's Scandinavian Gifts & Foods) was seen lit in the window of practically every home and business and in many windows in many homes.  We brought 2 home with us.
