05a_BanPong_Nov-Dec2008 -- On the evening of December 1st excitement grows on the streets of Ban Pong. Strangers come up to us and point to the night sky. Here in town and on the banks of the river hundreds of folks are looking up to an interesting celestial event. The sliver of the moon and 2 planets allign themselves to form a “Smiley Face”..!! We are told that this happens about every 10 years, but this is news to us.
