Someone knew someone who invited us to a taiko drumming class "good-bye to the old year" celebration. So, we went . . . |

. . .we drummed . . . |

. . . and they drummed . . . |

. . . and we got silly. |

. . .and then we ate. It seems the drum teacher also owned a butcher shop. So we had real shabu shabu (think sliced beef boiled with vegetables in a pot at the table) There were also enounmous plates of sushi. |

Later the dragon came out and roared a bit.
