During the three weeks in Japan, I
tried to e-mail on something of a regular basis. At times I was less
than sure about the connection, and I always felt in a hurry. In
a hurry partly because of long distance charges and partly because the
itinerary was so full, (and I was determined not to miss anything) and
partly because I would write at the end of a day when I was just plain
exhausted. Now that I have had time to reflect, things appear a little
different than at those immediate moments, but these musings and observations
still serve well as a journal.
I'd like to express my appreciation for the energy my husband put into
cleaning up my grammar, adding interesting links, and getting the entries
up on my web page.
We can still be reached at the following e-mail address and welcome your

Mrs. Wheeler's original "e-mails from Japan" page became large with her many postings, causing some problems for some viewers. Her e-mails are now divided into three chapters. Click on the chapter that interests you and enjoy.
