On display in the front of the store is this circular knitting machine that was made in Germany in 1953 and was used here (along with many others) to produce the quality Armor-lux clothing. As we understand it, this machine actually knits a fine gauge/mesh circular cloth (using a sockinette or "jersey" stitch) used in the production of Tee-shirts. The little sign indicated that it could produce 10 to 300 kg of material per day.
