Coming nearer to Brest, we approach the attractive cable-stayed "Pont
de l'Iroise", the bridge over the Élorn river near where it empties into the
huge Bay of Brest. We were all intrigued with the apparatus being towed by the
vehicle in the right lane. The blue-white label reads "Hydro-Gen, Water Power"
and appears to be some sort of floating electrical power generator. Later, we
found this interesting
Hydro-Gen web site that explains more about this ingenious French
floating turbine system that is capable of generating electricity from several
types of moving water..
