7th_Europe_Report -- The abbey experienced years of prosperity and years of reversals of fortunes. Like many other religious endeavors, it did not survive the French Revolution of 1789. There were a few years of transformation into such uses as private
apartments, a town hall, schools until 1862 when it was declared a Historical Monument.
As we head for the car, we get this last view of the sea this day.
