After we dropped back down closer to sea level, having passed the major part of
the current French Naval Base, Keith and Patrick (ahead on the trail here) try
to find the location here Patrick's grandfather took his "Photo #086" of Maison
Blanche or White House, with the Portzic lighthouse in the distance. With
all the rearrangement of the terrain by the WW II bombing and subsequent growth
of vegetation, we could not find the exact vantage point. Undoubtedly we
were close and were able to feel a closeness to our family member who spent time
in this area many years previously.
