This panorama, while not webpage friendly, gives a good flavor of the scene.
The expanse of the deep water is quite blue, and very dramatic. These
fluctuating tidal extremes seem unusual to our California eyes, but the locals
of course are very used to it. This gives the view as we walk out
the long pier to our waiting ferry. Much of the
Île de Batz, our
destination, can be seen across the water.
