Google Maps indicate that the name of this pond or reservoir above the mill is "Ètang de Brézal" or Pond of Brézal.  We tried to drive farther up the hill above this pond to the Castle of Brezal but a securely locked gate prohibited access.  After returning to California and searching the Internet to learn more of this fascinating historical estate and old community, we stumbled upon the most lovely YouTube video entitled, "Pont Christ et l'étang de Brézal".  We highly recommend this as it shows picturesque views of the Christ's Bridge, the pond, fleeting views of the mill and the lovely paths around the pond.  While we don't understand the French lyrics that are sung we think this video captures some of the charm of this place.
