72. Knud Andersen KLEIBERG ⁽²⁹⁸⁾⁽²⁹⁹⁾⁽²¹¹⁾ was born about 1735 on Kleiberg farm (above Nedstrand), Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. [Tysvær bygdebok, vol.2, gives birth year as 1735; Slooper book and Nedstrand bygdebok indicates that he was baptized in 1737.] He was baptized on 15 Dec 1737. He died in Dec 1797 in Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. He was buried on 19 Dec 1797. He lived on the Aksland farm near Kleiberg before moving to Slogvik. Knut got the deed to Aksland from Ola Helgesen and Peder Knutsen at 1/2 measure of land from each, dated 20 Jun 1768. This would indicate that he would take possession the whole "bondelaupen" farm from 1769. (Possibly additional land in this farm was owned by the crown, the church or some other large landowner.) Knut sold the farm to an in-law in 1777. He and his family then moved to Tysvær. His first 2 children were born at Aksland, while those born after 1777 were born at Slogvik. (Nedstrand bygdebok)

"He owned and used the whole farm (Slogvik) in 1796 and at the settlement of the estate in 1799, his son Anders got a deed to the place. The gross value of the estate in 1801 was 349 dollars and 3/5 dollars and 6 shillings and the net for distribution (was) 123 dollars and 16 shillings." (Tysvær bygdebok #2) He was married to Malene Stensdtr VASSENDEN.

73. Malene Stensdtr VASSENDEN⁽³⁰⁰⁾⁽³⁰¹⁾⁽²¹¹⁾ was born in 1750.⁽³⁰²⁾ Tysvaer book has birth year of 1749. She was baptized on 27 Apr 1750. She died in 1835 in Norway. From Vassenden in Nedstrand. Children were:

i. Malene Knutsdtr. KLEIBERG⁽³⁰³⁾⁽²¹¹⁾ was born in 1772 in Aksland, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. [Tysvær bygdebok, vol. 2, gives birth year of 1773; draft of Nedstrand bygdebok gives baptism date in early 1772.] She was baptized on 27 Feb 1772. She died in 1838 in Norway. Died as "legdslem" (the poor of the poor - was sent between farms in the community. This was the first social security - each farm had to keep them for a certain time.)

iii. Sten Knudsen KLEIBERG/SLOGVIK⁽³⁰⁴⁾ was born in 1778 on Slogvik farm, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. He died in 1822 in Norway. Married Anna Nilsdtr. (b. 1769, d. 1841) from Gaupas about 1802; they had 5 children: Knut 1803-32, Nils 1805-06, Sissel 1807, Marte Malene 1810, Anna Marta 1815. "Apparently they lived for a time in Nedstrand where three children were baptized. Otherwise we find them here in Lyngdal (Bruk 4, also called Løndal)."
iv. Knut Knutsen KLEIBERG/SLOGVIK^(305)* was born in 1785 on Slogvik farm, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. He had a daughter Anna Marta, b. 1811, with Marta Jakobsdtr from nearby Vågen farm (no record that Knut and Marta were ever married). (* also see Tysvær bygdebøker, Vol. 2, p. 15 & Vol. 4, p. 66.)
v. Brita Knudsdtr. KLEIBERG/SLOGVIK⁽³⁰⁶⁾ was born in 1787 on Slogvik farm, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway.
vi. Malene Knudsdtr. KLEIBERG/SLOGVIK was born in 1792 on Slogvik farm, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway.
vii. Ragna Knutsdtr KLEIBERG/SLOGVIK⁽³⁰⁷⁾ was born in 1793 on Slogvik farm, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. She died in 1793 in Norway ("died the same year.")
viii. Ragnhild Knudsdtr. KLEIBERG/SLOGVIK⁽³⁰⁸⁾ was born in 1781 on Slogvik farm, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway; mentioned 1797.
