We dedicate this photo collection to our great hotel in George Town, Penang, in northwest Malaysia. After a less than great hotel stay in Singapore we were becoming wary travelers.  Our 5 day stay at the friendly, helpful, convenient, & reasonable Mingood Hotel changed all that.

Relatively close to the heartbeat of the city, this hotel is located in quiet neighborhood.  Within a couple of days we became familiar with this part of town, exploring its streets and food shops. With a great view from the roof, a comfortable room, and help getting our laptop again working and connected to the hotel-wide free WiFi, we were again happy travelers.  The staff here were even able to get our Thai visa that the Thai embassy in Singapore said was impossible.
