Eureka's Sons of Norway Fram #13 Lodge was an early
supporter of members Keith & Peg Wheeler's involvement in the Slooper
Monument Project - the placement and dedication of a Norwegian bautastein
(monument stone) to honor those Norwegian "Slooper" immigrants that
settled the farthest west of the small group that came to America in 1825.
Several Fram 13 members traveled down to Napa to participate in the May 15,
2004, dedication celebration. (See the Slooper
