Larsen and his 4 older siblings in their owned home in Eureka, Humboldt Co.; both of his parents and his 3 older siblings (Andrew, Alfhild & Ansgar?) were all born in Norway, while both he and his 1 year older brother Carl were born in California.
1920 US Census: Age 13; Living with his parents Anders C. & Thora M. Larsen, his 15 year old brother Carl, and younger sisters Mamie and Ruth; the family was living in their owned home at 1428 McFarland St., Eureka; his father's occupation was listed as "Laborer, Lumber Mill.
1930 US Census: Age 23; Head of the household; Married; Living with his 22 year old Ruby and 5 year old step-son William; Torrey's given marriage age of 22 indicates they had been married about 1 year; they are living in a rented home at 1337 Broadway, Eureka; Torrey's occupation was listed as "Delivery Man, Bakery"; his wife Ruby was working as a dressmaker; Torrey's Veteran Status was "No".
1940 US Census: Age 33; Divorced; Living with his parents in their home at 335 W. Whipple St (now W 14th St., near Union & Summer), Eureka; his 8 year old niece Dolores Hitchings was also in this household; Torrey's occupation was listed as "Salesman, Automobile".

Torrey M. Larsen
Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Torrey M. Larsen, who passed away in Fortuna July 8, 1984 at age 78. He was a native and lifelong resident of Eureka.
Mr. Larsen had worked as a used car salesman, and was known for his integrity. He also had owned and operated several taverns. He was a long-time member of the Sons of Norway Lodge Fram No. 13 and the Calvary Lutheran Church.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed out-of-door activities, especially duck and pheasant hunting and fishing.
Mr. Larsen is survived by his wife, Alora L. Larsen; his sons, Torrey Dale Larsen of Los Angeles and Kenneth G. Larsen of Sacramento; his sisters, Alfhild Anderson and Ruth Anderson, both of Eureka; his five grandchildren and his two great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services at Sanders Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Sidney Jorgensen officiating.
Interment will follow at the Sons of Norway Plot in Ocean View Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Russel W. Anderson, Ted Elliott, Clary W. Johnson, Harvey L. Larsen, George R. Nelson, Sake Stoveland, Carol O. Torgersen, and Harold Westman.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
