1930 US Census:  Age 36; Single; Immigration Year 1920; living as a boarder in the home of Gabriel and Inger Olsen at 306 West Pratt [now W Sonoma] St., Eureka; Occupation of Yardman Lumber Mill; Veteran = No.

1940 US Census:  Age 47; Single; living alone in a rented place (bunk house?) with many other mill wokers on an unnamed street in Samoa, Humboldt Co., Completed 9th grade of school; lived in same house in 1935; Occupation of "foreman, car/case? loader" at sawmill.

Apr 1942 WWII Draft Registration Card: Age 49; place of birth = Oslo, Norway; Residence = Samoa Bunk House, Samoa, Humboldt Co.; Contact Person = Bill Carlson, 423 2nd Street, Eureka; Employer = Hammond Redwood Co., Samoa; Height 5' 7 1/2"; Weight 135 lbs.; Hazel eyes; Brown hair; Light complexion; Tattoo dots on left hand.

           SVERRE H. HANSEN

   Sverre H. Hansen, 60, of 1603 Pine street, a native of Oslow (sic), Norway, died after a lengthy illness Sunday evening at a local hospital.

   A retired millworker, Hansen was a resident of Eureka the past 30 years.  He was a member of the Son's of Norway lodge Fram 13 for 25 years; a member of the Order of Runeberg lodge 102; and of the lumber and sawmill workers local 2799.

   He is survived by two sisters in Norway.

   Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at Sander's Funeral home.  Interment will follow in Ocean View cemetery.
