?[Possibly listed in 1910 US Census as a 28 year old single "Sailor/Merchant Vessel" in a large
San Francisco boarding house with many other single Norwegian sailors.]

1920 US Census:  Age: 38; Single; Immigration Year 1902; Naturalized 1909; both parents born Norway; living as a boarder in a large boarding house (John & Mary Somers) in Rohnerville Township; Occupation of "Grader Saw-mill".

1930 US Census:  Age: 48; Single; Immigration Year 1902; Naturalized 1909; both parents born Norway; living alone in owned home on Cottage St. (Myrtle Ave/Park St area), Eureka; Occupation of "Lumber Grader Lumber Mill"; Veteran = No.

1940 US Census:  Age: 59; Single; living alone in owned home (address not given, but living close to Peter Lee, as well as Harold & Anna Lee); 8th grade education; Occupation of "Rancher, Own Ranch".

Apr 1942 WW II Draft Registration Card: Age 60, Place of Birth = Mandal, Norway; Residence = Rt. 1, Box 21, Hill Tract, Eureka, Humboldt Co., Calif; Contact Person = Harry Lee, Hill Tract, Eureka; Employer = "Self - Framer" at Hill Tract, Eureka; Height - 6' 1"; 200 lbs; blue eyes, blond hair, light complexion.

       Oscar Olsen Of Eureka Passes

   Death came yesterday to Oscar Olsen, 68, a native of Norway, at a local hospital.  He had resided in Eureka for the past 25 years and in the United States for 48 years.  He was a member of the Fram Lodge 13, Sons of Norway.

   Surviving him are a brother, Gabriel Olsen of Eureka, and two nieces, Mrs. Anna Lee and Mrs. Cecile Gimle, both of Eureka; and a cousin in Norway.

   Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Sanders Mortuary with the Rev. Johannes Hoifjeld to officiate.  Interment will be in the Sons of Norway plot of Ocean View Cemetery.
