Died:  13 Mar 1996, Fortuna, Humboldt Co., California    Age 75

California Death Records: Mother's Maiden Name: "Hink"; Age at death: 75 yrs.

 1930 US Census: Age: 9; Living with his parents Hans & Mary and paternal uncle Carl in the family's owned home in the Rohnerville Township, Humboldt Co.; His father Hans was then age 40, born in Norway, a naturalized citizen having immigrated in 1902; His mother was then age 48, born in Germany, naturalized having immigrated in 1880?; the occupation of both the father Hans and uncle Carl was "Laborer, Lumber Camp".

 1940 US Census: Age 19; Single; Living with his father Hans and step-mother Grayce on their owned farm on "Ninth Street Gulch Road", Fortuna Township; his occupation was listed as "Potato Grader, N.Y.A." and his father Hans was working as a "Woodsman, Lumber Mill"; both Kenneth and his father were living in the same house in 1935, but his step-mother was living in Eureka in 1935.

Humboldt Standard, Tues, 26 May 1964, p. 24, in obituary for Benjamin Wesley Dewell, husband of Opal S. Dewell of Fortuna, "Kenneth P. Hansen of Fortuna" was listed among surviving family members as a "step-brother" of the deceased.

Services will be held Monday for Kenneth Parker Hansen, who passed away March 13, 1996, in Fortuna at the age of 75. He was a resident of Fortuna.
   Born on May 9, 1920, in San Francisco, Kenneth came to Humboldt County as a small infant and he lived all his life in Fortuna.
   After his graduation from Fortuna High School, Kenneth worked for 45 years, until his retirement, for Pacific Lumber Company.
   He was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church of Fortuna. He was a member of Sons of Norway, Fram Lodge #13 of Eureka and Rohner Grange of Fortuna.
   He is survived by his nephew, Rick Kessier, and his family, as well as several other relatives.
   Friends are invited to attend memorial services, Monday, March 18, 1996, at 1 p.m. at Goble’s Chapel Fortuna with the Rev. David Owren officiating. Private interment was at Ocean View Cemetery, Eureka.
   The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1477, Eureka, 95502, or to a favorite charity.
