Obituary: Humboldt Standard, 20 Mar 1933, Monday Evening:

        Carl E. Iversen Dies In Hospital

   Carl E. Iversen, 38, died at noon today at a local hospital after a long illness.  Deceased was a native of Norway.  He had resided in Fortuna for 13 years.

   Deceased was a radio electrician and for the last five years preceding his fatal illness, was engaged in that work both in Fortuna and in Eureka.

   Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Ella Iversen and three children, Willard, Marian and Lucille Iversen, all of Fortuna.  He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Hannah A. Iversen of Eureka, two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Helga Andersen of Hilt, Mrs. Sig Strubel of Eureka, Harold Iversen of Fortuna and Birger Iversen of Eureka.

   Pending funeral arrangements, the body is at the Sanders Funeral Home.

IVERSEN --- In this city, on Monday, March 20th, 1933, Carl Emil Iversen, beloved husband of Mrs.  EllaIversen and loving father of Willard, Marian, and Lucille Iversen, all of Fortuna, Calif.  Loved son of Mrs. Hannah A. Iversen of Eureka, brother of Mrs. Helga Andersen of Hilt, Calif., Harold Iversen of Fortuna, Mrs. Sig Stubel and Birger Iversen of Eureka.  A member of Fram Lodge, No. 13, Sons of Norway, and Semper Virens Lodge, No. 552, F. & A. M.  A native of Norway, aged 37 years, 5 months and 28 days.

   Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, March 23rd, 1933, at 1:30 o'clock p. m., from Sanders Funeral Home, 1835 E Street, Eureka, California.  Rev. Paul Borup officiating.  Interment at Sons of Norway Plot, Ocean View Cemetery.  Under the Auspices of Fram Lodge No. 13, Sons of Norway, and Semper Virens Lodge No. 552, F. & A. M..
