ELEVENTH GENERATION

1184. Holger Holgersen LINDANGER/FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁷⁹⁶⁾⁽⁷⁹⁷⁾⁽⁷⁹⁸⁾ was born in 1604 in Lindanger, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. He died in 1670. Administration & distribution of his estate ("skifte") on 7 Oct 1670 after both he and his wife died. (Slooper book)
After leaving his home in Lindanger, Holger probably lived first in Yrkje. He was probably the Holger that was living there in 1629 and he is also mentioned there in 1634-35. He and his older brother Ola both lived on the Yrkje farm, but in 1633 Ola got a judgement that the "oldest brother" had the right to the whole Yrkje farm. We then find that Holger took over the management of the whole Fikstveit farm in 1635. It is not clear if he was the son-in-law of the former Fikstveit farmer, Knut Steinson, but Holger's new wife was a Knutsdotter. In census lists from years around the middle of 1660's, Holger is mentioned together with many of his sons. Holger is mentioned as a juror in 1653 and 1659.

Although not entirely clear, her father was probably Knut Steinson Fikstveit. Knud lived at Fikstveit at least from 1603 to 1635. He was owner of land in the neighboring farm Erland and in Askeland. Children were:

i. Anna Holgersdtr FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁸⁰¹⁾⁽⁸⁰²⁾ was born in 1635 in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. She died in 1669 in Romsaland, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. She was the second wife of Gunnar Rasmusson from Ile in Ilsvåg, Vikedal. They lived at Romsaland where they had 3 children: Rasmus 1663, Holger 1664 and Ragnilla mentioned 1687.
She is the older sister of Tosten from whom also the Wheeler family descends.
ii. Ola Hogerson FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁸⁰³⁾ was born in 1642 in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. He was mentioned in 1666, but he was not mentioned in the probate after his parents' deaths in 1670, so he possibly died between those years.

iv. Per Holgerson FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁸⁰⁴⁾ was born in 1654 in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. He died betw 1675 and 1679 in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. Per and his brother Torstein used the Fikstveit farm together in the years from 1670 until Per died between 1675 and 1679. Per married Maren Johannesdtr and they had one daughter, Magla, b. 1671, who married Tomas Knutson from Kyrkjeteig. Magla and Tomas lived on Karmøy. After Per's death, his widow Maren married again to Erik Askjellson Hervik.
v. Holger Holgerson FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁸⁰⁵⁾ was born in 1652 in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. He was mentioned in 1670.
vi. Anna Holgersdtr FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁸⁰⁶⁾ died in 1685. She was born in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. She married Jon Torkelson from Smedsvik. They lived first at the cotters or tenant farmers place named Kalvhagen at the north end of the Fikstveit farm. The family then moved to the Våg farm at the north west end of Grindefjorden. Anna and Jon apparently had no children. After Anna's death Jon married again to Brita Eivindsdtr maybe from Hatlastad.
vii. Ingeborg Holgersdtr FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁸⁰⁷⁾ was born in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. She was mentioned in 1681.
viii. Brita Holgersdtr FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁸⁰⁸⁾⁽⁸⁰⁹⁾ was born in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. She is probably the Brita that was the second wife of Jørgen Jørgenson Østenstad. They lived on Bruk A of Østenstad and probably had 2 daughters, Anna and Kari.
ix. Brita Hogersdtr FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁸¹⁰⁾ was born in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. She married Ola Ingebrigtson and lived at Alstveit in Nedstrand.
x. Johanna Holgersdtr FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁸¹¹⁾⁽⁸¹²⁾ was born in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. She married Lars Torfinnson of Østenstad. They lived at Håland where their only child Lars was born in 1683. After her husband's death, the "widow Johanna" lived at Østenstad in 1706 together with the son Lars. This son was used to the sea and enrolled in the navy. Probably was it him who was also mentioned in 1701 under the Østenstad farm.
xi. Lars Holgerson FIKSTVEDT (FIKSTVEIT)⁽⁸¹³⁾ was born in 1660 in Fikstveit, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. He was mentioned in 1666.
