56. Mial CUSHMAN (191)(292) (194) was born on 23 May 1753 in Duxbury, Plymouth Co., MA. He died on 27 Jan 1817 in New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA. "Mial served in the Revolutionary War as a Pvt. in Capt. Kempton's Co. at Dartsmouth, at Roxbury, and Dorchester and at the siege of Boston by Gen. Washington. He was also on the 'Providence', a sloop, privateering, during that war." (p. 4, R.B. Cushman Ltr.)
Tim Cushman's material indicated that Mial & Salome had 11 children. He was married to Salome ATWOOD on 26 May 1783 in MA. (81)(194) [Tim Cushman has marriage date of 8 Mar 1783. Bonnie Hubbard points out that S.P. May in his "The Descendants of Richard Sares (Sears) of Yarmouth, Mass," 1890, indicates that Salome Atwood married 8 Mar 1783 Weal (sic) Cushman of New Bedford. "The difference in marriage dates may be because the earlier one is that of 'intention.' The later date (26 May 1783) was given me in a letter from the Chatham Historical Society." (Bonnie Hubbard)]

57. Salome ATWOOD was born on 31 Aug 1758 in Chatham, Barnstable, MA. She died on 18 Jan 1822 in New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA. Children were:

child i. David CUSHMAN(293) (193) was born on 3 Apr 1785 in North Fairhaven, Bristol Co., MA. He died on 19 Jan 1854 in New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA. Married first Olive Gellout (?) of East Fairhaven on 15 Nov 1807; married second widow Mary Bates of Middleboro. He had no children.
