Day 4 - Dubai - 12 November 2005

1

Peg pauses with morning coffee to look out our hotel room window.  Our plane to Saudi Arabia leaves at 3PM
2

The hotel across the way where we watched pigeons flitting through certain slants of light.
3

The souk boutique where Peg found a second abaya and Keith tried to regain his bargaining skills.
4

A street scene around the corner of our hotel showing the ubiquitous and versatile hand cart.
5

Same street, different mode of hauling transportation.
6

The upper courtyard of the Heritage House, a restored home of a wealthy Persian merchant of 1890.
7

The diorama of little girls at play.  Interpretive programs of children's games were shown on the screen above.
8

Another upper courtyard view from the same Heritage House.  No wind towers were used in this part as it seemed to catch ocean breezes quite well.
9

One of the lovely ornate carved wood doors of the interior courtyard.
10

Keith takes a break to sit among good examples of traditional brass vessels ("super sized").
11

Standing before the Naif police station, north Deira district of Dubai City.
12

Serious crane work denotes construction around the Dubai Airport complex. We would soon land at Dammam, KSA, for customs before flying on for late night arrival at Riyadh.
