Back in
Guadalajara we are ensconced in our favorite colonial hotel near the town
center. Hotel Francés in 1995 was 375 years old, founded in 1610. It had
gone major restoration 15 years before our 1995 stay. Music from the piano
downstairs wafted up through the atrium in the center of the restored structure,
leaving a pleasant memory.
