6th_Europe_Report -- Serious seafood country -- We stop for
a late breakfast at a place that Patrick had visited before and enjoyed. This was on the
western outskirts of the town of Le Vivier-sur-Mer, southwest of Cancale across the huge shallow bay. Have you ever seen such huge oysters? They were as delicious as they were beautiful. The mussels were superb as well. Local "Val de Rance" cider added to the pleasure that comes when one partakes of the best the region has to offer.
What a feast!! And all this was topped off by their famous fish soup -
delicious, but - sorry - not photogenic.
