5th_Europe_Report -- Peg sits on the steps that lead to the closed doors of the
Leffe Abbey. One of us was
disappointed, the other was angry --- it was a bit of a hard uphill climb to the facility which we were told by the tourist informant was open. Everything was locked up and the note on the gate announced the "annual closure" between 22 September and 10 October! One would think that the Information Center would have known that our day's visit was dead center of their period of closure. Nothing to do now but
take the easier walk downhill to catch the next train back to Namur.
