3rd_Europe_Report -- Rops was talented and prolific in many genres and activities: he was a cartoonist, political satirist, world traveler, fashion designer, landscapist, eroticist (some of his work bordering on pornographic), lithographer, journalist, Brussels dandy, post-impressionist, publisher, printmaker, engraver, symbolist, Belgian, Parisian, Namur native son and he largely distrusted women.  Type or paste in "Felicien Rops" in Google's Image search and you find a huge number of examples of his varied works.
