1st_Europe_Report -- In a huge tent at the town center we see traditionally garbed locals participating in the good local beers.
Also, almost too popular during this festival, is a local flavored
"white-lightening" type drink called "peket"
or "pékèt". Multi-flavored (think high proof Kool-Aid),
they are served in tiny plastic shot glasses, the latter strewn on the streets
as the evening wanes to wee hours. For many, especially among the young,
rowdy drunkenness seems to be the goal during the late hours.
