PHOTO SAMPLER -  TED & SUSAN'S  SEND OFF: BOY'S NIGHT OUT; ROTARY, 13-14 AUGUST 2003

Our close friends Susan & Ted left Ban Pong on Friday, 15 August, for some traveling in Southeast Asia before their return to Mexico. These photos are from the two nights preceding their departure. 

Ted had helped organize "Boy's Night Out" where English speaking ex-pats met in a local beer garden for food, drinks and lively conversation - a Wed. night affair.

Keith joins the group here which includes others from the US, plus guys from Canada, Australia & Ireland.

Australian Dale invites his lovely wife to join us. 

Peg, Keith & Yupadee are invited to join Ted & Susan at their final Ban Pong Rotary meeting for this trip. Here President Supanus (center), Secretary Prayong (right) & visiting President from Nonthaburi open the meeting

Officers & visiting dignitaries sit at the head table as the meeting gets underway. 

Ted, in his new Thai silk shirt-jacket, sits opposite us with some of his Rotary buddies.

Business woman Phantipa (left) skillfully acts as translator as Ted delivers a speech & gives his home Mexican Rotary banner to this chapter.

Susan also presents the banner from her Rotary chapter in Colima, Mexico.

Susan, Ted, Peg, Keith & Yupadee are brought up front for honors, gifts & photographs.

We were honored to received a most unusual, but beautiful, gift - a lovely boxed set of commemorative cans with photographs of the leading actors from the very popular movie Suriyothai.

More parting gifts are exchanged among people who have become special friends.

We all stand at the end of the meeting while members beautifully sing "It's a Small World" in Thai. Warm goodbyes are said & the Ted & Susan are in for a late night of packing. (we miss you guys!)
