different member's badges. These very old pieces of Lodge regalia are
reversible, i.e., the red, white & blue ribbon can be turned over to
expose the black side to be worn in mourning.

Johnson's 27' Viking ship, "Varmland," 1968. Full
caption: "Arthur Johnson of Redway hauls in the line from the bow of
his 27-foot Viking ship "Varmland" which he launched for the
first time this morning at Field's Landing. Nearly 100 persons turned out
to see the "Varmland" make its maiden cruise in Humboldt Bay.
Johnson spent five years searching for material and working on the vessel. |
