Presented to Fram Lodge #13 by Sons of Norway District No. 6 at the Convention in Eureka, California, June 21, 22, 23, 1956, in appreciation of the splendid hospitality bestowed upon them by the host lodge.  When founded, this lodge chose the name Fram - meaning forward - a name that had been made famous when the good ship Fram of Norway in 1893-96 sailed further north than any ship in known history when it carried Fridtjof Nansen over unexplored artic seas and again in 1911 when it reached further south than any ship had ever sailed, taking Roald Amundsen on his voyage to the South Pole.  May this Bell be a reminder to the Fram Lodge that like its name and that of the ship Fram it means "go forward."
