Title: On our way back to Jørpeland we stop at the Årdal Gamle Kyrkje (old Årdal Church). It reportedly is one of the best examples of a Renaissance church on the west coast of Norway. The interior was richly decorated, but no inside photos were permitted. |
|

Title: The Årdal Church consists of 3 low buildings and a spire. It obviously was built in 3 stages and it dates from the 17th century. This old church is still used occasionally for church services in the summer and for an occasional wedding. |

Driving on toward Jørpeland, we stop again - this time in these beautiful woods to pick blueberries. |
