Day 2-7 - Modca Restaurant, Hamra District, Beirut.
The Modca was near our hotel and we went there often - sometimes for a bite to eat - sometimes just for coffee. Sitting either inside our outside, it was an interesting place to watch the city go by. As it was located on the corner of two busy streets, Hamra St. & Abdel Aziz St., there was much coming & going, both vehicular & on foot.
[A sorry note: We received word in Nov. '03 from travel writer Terry Carter that,
"Café Modca is no more. It's now a clothing shop."]
