Day 7 - Rafaat Hallab & Sons Pastry Shop & Restaurant, Tripoli

Our Lonely Planet guidebook (p. 184) points out that, "Tripoli is famous for its pastries. Rafaat Hallab et Fils (on Rue Tall + branches) is one of the best patisseries in Lebanon and is the place to try Tripoli's specialties."  We agree that this is a "must not miss" place when visiting northern Lebanon.

Quoting from their web site: "Since 1881, Rafaat Hallab and sons have been gratifying their customers' gourmet fantasies with the most delicious homemade oriental pastries. Still improving on the legacy of the past, Rafaat Hallab and sons pastries are now a reference in Lebanese sweets."

You can order their Oriental Sweets on-line - they deliver internationally!
