ELEVENTH GENERATION

1906. Richard PEARCE ⁽⁸¹⁾⁽³⁸⁶⁾ was born about 1620 in Waltham Abbey, Essex, England. Susan Thompson has birth year of 1615. He died betw Apr 1677 & Oct 1678 in Portsmouth, Newport Co., RI. IMMIGRANT - "There has been much speculation about relationships in the Pearce family in all its spellings, including Percy (& Pierce). It is recorded, however, that Richard Pearce married Susannah Wright at Waltham Abbey, Essex, England 5 May 1642 (Boyer). Boyer thinks Richard must have been born around 1620. ...the Pearces were living at 'Prudence Island the Narrowgansett Bay' in Rhode Island. Prudence Island is in Narragansett Bay, south of Providence (which is on the mainland) and west of the island called Rhode Island (which has Portsmouth at its north end and Newport at the southern). Richard Pearce was named surveyor of marks of cattle 8 June 1657 and became a Freeman 18 May 1658. ... Richard's will, dated 22 Apr 1677 and proved 28 Oct 1678, mentions all his children but not his wife, so it is assumed that Susannah had died earlier. It was about this time (1678) that Mary married Thomas2 Brownell." (Bonnie Hubbard)

1907. Susanna WRIGHT ⁽⁸¹⁾⁽³⁸⁶⁾ was born in 1625 in England.⁽³⁸⁶⁾ She was baptised on 5 Aug 1627 in Essex, England. She died before 1678 in Portsmouth, Newport Co., RI. IMMIGRANT Children were:

i. Martha PEARCE⁽³⁸⁶⁾ was born on 13 Sep 1645. She died on 24 Feb 1744.
ii. John PEARCE⁽³⁸⁶⁾ was born on 8 Sep 1647 in Waltham Abbey, Essex, England. He died on 5 Dec 1707 in Tiverton, RI. IMMIGRANT
iii. Richard PEARCE⁽³⁸⁶⁾ was born on 3 Oct 1649.
iv. Giles PEARCE⁽³⁸⁶⁾ was born on 23 Jul 1651.
v. Susannah PEARCE⁽³⁸⁶⁾ was born on 20 Nov 1652 in Portsmouth, Newport Co., RI. She died on 24 Dec 1743 in Little Compton, Newport, RI. She married George Brownell (older brother of her sister Mary's husband Thomas) on 4 Dec 1673 at Portsmouth, RI.
