Newport Co., RI. He died in 1727 in Tiverton, RI. "In 1698 he registered
the ear marks of his cattle with the town clerk of Tiverton and resided until
his death in 1727 in that town, which was then in Bristol county, Massachusetts
Bay. He was married twice and his second wife Mary _____? was probably the mother
of Abigail, born about 1710. He left land and negroes to his wife and sons and
specifies that "each son is to pay to their sister Abigail £50 each
first year and £25 each second year." His first wife was named Ann.
