2400. Gudmund RØNNEVIK was born in Norway.
He is mentioned in old records from 1610-34 and was a juror in 1623. There
was a Gunder, who is probably the same man, who was a juror in 1626 and mentioned
1635-38. In 1613 Gudmund (and before him in 1603 a man named Kristoffer, who
may or may not be related) used the whole Rønnevik farm. Although it is
not clear when, by sometime in the 1640's this farm had been divided into 2
farms. The bygdebok author has called these early farms, Farm A and Farm B.
One called was called the "inherited land" and was the smallest and
the other was called the "diocese's land" and was the larger one.
